Red Wings Sweep!

So I was wrong. I said Wings in 6 but they took care of business in 4! So glad they put this series to an end. It was getting very physical and now they can rest up and heal!
So… I am looking forward to who else is going to advance!!
Very disappointed in the Rangers loss… poor Henrik… bad defenseman!

So the playoffs start today… here are my predictions for the first round.
Western Conference:
Canucks v Blackhawks – Canucks in 5
Sharks v Kings – Sharks in 5
Red Wings v Coyotes – Red Wings in 6
Ducks v Predators – Ducks in 7

Eastern Conference:
Capitals v Rangers – Rangers in 7
Flyers v Sabres – Flyers in 5
Bruins v Canadiens – Bruins in 6
Penguins v Lightning – Lightning in 7

What’s up with this… will the Rangers make the playoffs? and what is up with the Maple Leafs??
Columbus wins… I want to like this team..I really like Rick Nash… will they ever make the playoffs?
Malkin is day to day… I don;t care.. wish it was closer to the playoffs.. I think Malkin is a Corey Perry… a jerk! Why do “great” players have to act like such jerks….so disappointing… I think it must be an anatomy thing….

Nick is a Captain!

The NHL announced today that Nick Lidstrom and Eric Staal will be the captains of the All Star teams. So, I guess it is like a pick up team… they take turns “picking” their teams. I still cannot believe that Lidstrom is the only Red Wing on the All Star team???? I hope it is because most of the team is injured…
Watch some of the game against the Penguins. The Wings played well but lost on a couple of ugly goals. Gotta get this team healthy quick!!
And speaking of Quick, the LA Kings lost to the Blues tonight. I am concerned about the Kings, as they keep dropping games. They better turn it around and “Quick”.

Gary Bettman was in the house last night…

Gary Bettman was at the Staples Center last night watching the Kings v Maple Leafs.  The Leafs fan in front of us got up and tried to get a “Bettman Sucks” chant going but… no one cared.

Watch the Islanders almost come away with a win against the Canucks tonight. I would have been happy to see that! The Canucks had some really good penalty shots to win the shoot out!

Maple Leafs in town

Just got home from the Kings v Maple Leafs…. and the Leafs won! Very large crowd dressed in blue all around us, so it was a pretty lively game. So the Kings lost, Red Wings lost and … so did the Oregon Ducks.

Going to a game tomorrow

I am going to the Kings v Maple Leafs tomorrow in LA. I love having the opportunity to see some of my favorite teams from back east. Too bad Toronto is doing so poorly this year… sad to see them near the bottom of the standings.
I was happy to see the Kings sign Jack Johnson to a 7 year contract! Glad they are finally trying to keep some of their young talent, instead of letting them go somewhere else!

2 best teams in the NHL

I’m watching the RedWings v Canucks game.. Currently they are tied 1-1. Jimmy Howard has had some great saves.
The Kings are also playing and it looks like they will get a win and stop the losing streak at 4.

What the Heck! (for lack of a better word)

Just finished watching the Red Wings v Flames… which the Red Wings won in the shoot out… but ultimately lost. Lost due to the unbelievable hit on Brad Stuart, which broke his jaw. Yeah… it was a 2 minute penalty, even though blood was pouring out of his face.. I thought the NHL was all about stopping hits to the head?? I guess not. Well, all we can hope for is a long suspension against TOM KOSTOPOULOS. It would have been an easy hit, uh… against someone who WASN’T looking… he did not have to go for the head. No respect. It is the one thing I really dislike about hockey.

Kings…

Watching the Kings…they are down 5-2… what the heck is happening here? The Kings can’t seem to get a win lately. I will be at the game on Monday v the Maple Leafs… looking for a win for the boys!
